Last month was filled with edits and procrastination. I finished the main edits for my upcoming novella, Dancing with the Duke, and have only some light polishing to do before I can send it off to my beta readers, and after that to an outside editor.
This month, I’m concentrating on writing something new. I’m doing NaNoWriMo – National Novel Writing Month. That means I will be trying to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. I’ve decided to spend this month writing book 2 in my Landing a Lord series. I plan for the book to eventually be around 70,000 words, but NaNo will give me a great start on the first draft of that book.
As the year comes to a close, I find myself eagerly anticipating 2013 and my foray into self-publishing. Until then, I’m happily writing and planning.
To everyone else who is doing NaNo this month, good luck and good writing!
